Lady Grey Farm Weddings in Cheshire
Are you on the look out for a stylish, rustic wedding venue located in the beautiful Cheshire countryside? Then look no further, Lady Grey Farm Weddings is the place for you!
Located in the picturesque village of Mobberley in Cheshire (just outside Knutsford and within reach of Wilmslow), Lady Grey Farm provides a distinct alternative to the more conventional and traditional wedding venues out there.

Rustic charm in the Cheshire Countryside
Lady Grey Farm is set in the Cheshire countryside, offering a secluded feel despite being well connected with nearby cities. The venue is a converted barn which opened as a wedding venue in 2020, it brings together a rustic shell with a stylish & modern interior – think exposed brickwork, polished concrete floors alongside industrial chic design elements.
Lady Grey Farm describes itself as “unique, exclusive & family-run” and offers couples complete exclusivity on the day.
The layout supports a full day-event. There’s a civil-ceremony room, spaces for the morning preparations, a breakout room, kids’ TV room and of course, the main event space where the wedding breakfast is served and the evening party is held.

Key information and practicalities
Capacity – Lady Grey Farm weddings can accommodate in the region of 120 guests for the wedding breakfast and ceremony.
Exclusivity – The venue is offered on an exclusive-use basis (so you have the entire space to yourselves for the day).
Two preparation rooms – The Galley has salon-style chairs, hairdryers, a shower as well as a prosecco fridge. Additionally, the Cockpit is a relaxed space with beer fridge and table football.
Food & drink – Lady Grey Farm partners with an experienced catering team (with decades of hospitality background) and offers a bespoke approach to menus. The bar stocks craft spirits, local ales, premium mixers and much more.
Accessibility – Lady Grey Farm is proud to be an accessible wedding venue, there is a dedicated wheelchair lift for those with mobility needs to easily move between levels.
Location – The venue is close to major transport links in Cheshire, meaning guests from further afield have convenient access. Manchester Airport can be reached in around 10 minutes via car.

What sets Lady Grey Farm apart?
The vibe – The venue is such an eclectic space with polished concrete floors, a copper bar, statement lighting and a huge disco ball that give it a modern yet quirky feel. Many couples remark on the “cool” factor.
Built for weddings – The dedicated spaces (prep suites, kids’ TV room and chill out rooms) reflect the sort of full-service day many couples expect, rather than simply providing an empty barn and expecting you to bring everything in yourself.
Family run – The same team from its sister venue (Owen House Wedding Barn) apply here, so you get all the expertise honed over years of weddings rather than a more general events space.
Style and flexibility – Because the venue space is a relatively blank-canvas (albeit with strong character), you have room to stamp your own style on it rather than being locked into a very specific decor.

More things to Consider
No venue is perfect for every couple, so here are some practical considerations for Lady Grey Farm:
Transport – One notable thing is that the venue is right under the Manchester Airport flight path, with one of the runways located pretty much next door. Couples have commented that they did not find it disruptive on the day. Personally, I think the regular views of the planes coming in to land is a great additional experience for your guests.
Venue close and last orders at the bar – This is in keeping with local licensing laws but please do check with the venue for the bar closing times, music limits and when guests need to depart.
Accommodation – At the time of writing, Lady Grey Farm doesn’t have on-site overnight accommodation for guests. Nearby hotels, Airbnb and guesthouses are plentiful.

What type of couple is Lady Grey Farm perfect for?
Based on what the venue offers, Lady Grey Farm is likely to suit couples who:
Desire something modern and stylish rather than ultra-traditional.
Value exclusive use – If you want the venue entirely to yourselves (rather than sharing in multiple-events) and a team that’s dedicated to your day.
Care about guest experience – The rooms for prep, kids, breakout areas suggest they’ve been thoughtfully designed around the wedding day from start to finish.

Are Lady Grey Farm weddings dog friendly?
Oh yes, my dogs at weddings blog post is a must read if you wish to include your dog in your wedding plans. Please be mindful that a venue’s animal guest policy can change, so please ask them for their specific dog policy before booking your wedding location.
