Event Photography Awards Wedding Category Winner 2026
The Event Photography Awards 2026 were held on the 2nd September at the historic Central Hall in Westminster, and I was absolutely delighted to hear that a photo I took last summer won the wedding category.
Sadly, I wasn’t able to travel to London to be at the event in-person as I was attending the funeral of a much-loved friend, so I want to thank Graham the Event Director for calling me the day after the awards ceremony to let me know that I’d won.
It was some welcome good news that certainly helped to brighten my mood after a really tough few days.

The winning photo – Bounce!
The winning photo was taken last June during Laura and Calum’s big day at the amazing Owen House Wedding Barn in Mobberley, Cheshire. For the purposes of the competition I had to give a name to each photo I entered, so I decided to call this one ‘Bounce’, for obvious reasons. There should be more space hoppers at weddings!
This is the third time I’ve won the wedding category at the Event Photography Awards, and back in 2023 it was a privilege to be crowned the overall winner taking home a cheque for £1000, this was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my wedding photography journey so far.

Event Photography Awards 2026 – Thank you
Heartfelt thanks to EPA founder Philip Atkins, Event Director Graham Hill and EPA sponsors Off To Work, Blue Strawberry & Eight and a Half London.
Big thanks to the panel of judges whose difficult job it is to sift through the thousands of entries. Also, many congratulations to the other category winners and the overall winner, David Parry.
And finally, a special mention must go to my couple, Laura and Calum for picking me to photograph their wedding. What a day it was!
In memoriam
I’ve dedicated this award to the memory of my dear friend Simon Critchlow, who sadly passed away on the 3rd August 2026.
Lots of love
