Ducie Street Warehouse Weddings in Manchester

If you’re looking for a super cool urban feel to your wedding day, then Ducie Street Warehouse Weddings, located within the northern quarter bang in the centre of Manchester, is right up your street.

This former textile mill is industrial-chic personified and sells itself as Manchester’s social hub, where you can do anything and be anything – it also happens to be one of the coolest wedding venues in the area.

The warehouse was built way back in 1867 during the cotton production boom that Manchester is famous for. Cotton bails were stored here upon arrival from America, before making their way to various other mills across via the UK canal network.

Nowadays, the warehouse is a vibrant hub that embodies Manchester’s rich industrial heritage with a nod to contemporary culture.  It has been transformed into a dynamic space that houses a variety of businesses from creative studios to trendy eateries.

Located within the wider Ducie Street area, which has seen significant regeneration over the last couple of decades, alongside weddings it also hosts events, exhibitions and markets – promoting local talent and nurturing connections within the creative community.

Ducie Street Warehouse retains many of the original features a documentary wedding photographer loves, such as high ceilings, riveted iron girders and rustic exposed brickwork. The place has bags of character and charm, you really need to pay a visit in person and have a nosey around.

The warehouse has three adaptable rooms and soft seating areas for your celebrations as well as an open sidebar area suitable for large-standing wedding receptions.

Additionally, there is a plant-filled atrium with industrial heritage windows to let that beautiful natural light flood in.

On site accommodation at Ducie Street Warehouse is simply unrivalled, no other Manchester city centre wedding venue comes close.

The warehouse has plenty of rooms for your wedding guests to rest their heads once the party is over. There are 162 apartments contained within the warehouse which are located in the floors directly above the wedding area. Many of these are available to book for you and your guests.

The venue also offers a two bedroomed penthouse, perfect for those couples who want to keep the celebrations going even after the official wedding wraps up.

An underground car park is available but spaces are pretty limited, please make sure you speak to the venue team about specific parking requirements. There are plenty of additional public car parks within the Ducie Street area. It is also possible to park on some nearby streets, but personally I would avoid this option as street parking prior to 8pm is limited to just two hours.

I’m a huge believer that you shouldn’t have to endure hours on your wedding day stood around for posed photos. That’s why I recommend setting aside just 15 minutes for a few family & friend group photos and another 10 or 15 minutes for some portraits of just the two of you.

I want you to spend the overwhelming majority of your day enjoying the company of those closest to you.

Please do get in touch to check my availability for your date, I look forward to hearing about your wedding plans.

Lots of love
