A gorgeous Lowry wedding in Salford Quays

The Lowry Theatre on Salford Quays was the venue for Rosie and Ollie’s gorgeous Lowry Wedding. Home to the BBC & ITV and often referred to as Media City, this 200-acre metropolis on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal is a modern architectural gem.

Love in the heart of Media City

I’ve always had a soft spot for Salford. I studied graphic design & photography at Salford University back in the 1990s and to witness the area evolve over the last couple of decades has been a delight.

When I first met with Rosie & Ollie for a cup of tea last year, they informed me that they chose The Lowry Theatre to get married as they had lived in an apartment on Salford Quays after they first got together at Medical School. The place felt like home to them and would always hold a special place in their hearts.

The newlyweds are both NHS doctors and I must say how honoured I was to share the same room with their guests, many of whom were also medical professionals. I will always be in awe of those who dedicate their lives to keep us healthy.

Enjoy some of the highlights of their day.

Thank you

Thank you so much to Rosie & Ollie for having me along for the ride. It was an absolute pleasure to document your wedding day.

A big high five must also go to the legendary Andrew Keher who made the trip down the East Lancashire road to second shoot for me. Thank you my friend, I owe you a Twix.

Also, big shout-outs to David Lee Events and Laura Mayers hair & make-up artist. It’s always a pleasure to work alongside some of the best wedding suppliers in the industry. Hope to see you guys again soon.

Looking for a non-posey wedding photographer?

I approach a wedding in pretty much a 100% documentary fashion. Aside from a handful of formal group photos and a little time with the two of you, I’ll capture your wedding day naturally as it happens.

So, if you’re getting married and are after someone to document the real moments, the fun & joy etc – get in touch – be quick though, I’m almost fully booked for 2018 and 2019 dates are shifting like hot cakes!

Thank you for all your support.

Peace is free.
