A Fabulous Fisherman’s Retreat Wedding in Lancashire
This was my first time photographing a Fisherman’s Retreat wedding and I must confess, I only knew the venue as a rather nice restaurant before Izzy and James got in touch to discuss their plans, I had absolutely no idea it was also a wedding venue.
A Baking Hot day in Ramsbottom
The Fisherman’s Retreat is located in the Twine Valley at the edge of the Pennines just east of the small town of Ramsbottom (yes, such a place does exist!).
As well as a restaurant serving meals made with locally sourced produce, it also has an onsite shop selling over 300 different kinds of single malt whisky. It’s a wonderful place and I highly recommend a visit.
James and Izzy’s wedding ceremony was held at St. John’s with St.Mark’s Church in Bury on one of the hottest days of the year. Usually, churches aren’t known for having the best light to photograph in but this place was a delight, I’ve never known a church bathed in so much natural light. A photographer’s dream!
Enjoy some of the highlights from a truly brilliant day.
Thank you
My heartfelt thanks to Izzy and James for having me along for the ride.
It was an absolute honour to photograph their day and spend time mingling with their families & friends, who were all so much fun. I send you my love and warmest wishes for the future.
