An Eaves Hall Wedding on New Years Eve
You could say that Lauren & Simeon’s Eaves Hall wedding was a double celebration with it being on new years eve. Of course, despite the manic new year celebrations, the entire day was really about the coming together of two families with the main event being the marriage ceremony at St Helen’s Church in nearby Waddington which was part-conducted by Simeon’s sister, who is a vicar. Then it was back over to the stunning countryside venue in the Ribble Valley, where Eaves Hall is situated.
Professional football referee
The groom is a professional football referee officiating in the Championship, League One and League Two of the English Football League. At only 30 he’s one of the youngest officials in the professional leagues and being a football fan myself, it was great to hear some of the stories he has of a side to the game you hear little about.
Welcoming in 2017!
I’ll be honest, as much as I love Christmas I’ve never really been a fan of new years eve. So I was delighted when Lauren and Simeon asked me to photograph their wedding and asked me to stick around for the entire day which culminated in welcoming in the new year at midnight.
As you can see from the photos, it really was a spectacular day and the evening party leading up to the new year celebrations was so much fun.
Thank you to the newlyweds for having me and Lauren along to photograph your day. Despite working for nearly 15 hours it was the best new years eve I’ve had for ages!
Thanks to Lauren Jo Kelly (my second shooter/pet chimp) for being as awesome as ever. 😉
It was also a pleasure to once again work alongside the exceptionally talented and lovely Sam Gateley, owner of Bridal Hair by Sam Gateley & Co. I hope to see you soon.
A big shout out must also go to The Fraudsters who were one of the best bands I’ve seen whilst photographing weddings. They’re a great bunch of lads and I suggest you check them out if you’re after a bit of live music for your wedding day.
And finally, thank you for taking the time to pop over to my blog.
Peace is free
