A Gorgeous Ashfield House Wedding in Standish
This was my first time shooting an Ashfield House wedding and I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this exclusive venue in Standish, Lancashire. Built in 1755, the house is incredibly grand and bursting with period charm & history, it made the perfect backdrop for Becks and Adam’s day.
Becks & Adam’s big day
The day began for me during the hustle and bustle of the bridal preparations which is always one of my favourite parts of the day, I like the nervous energy and anticipation plus the organised chaos always throws up some wonderful moments. I loved the bridal prep room at Ashfield House, it’s a really big space with plenty of stunning natural light streaming through the big windows.
The ceremony room is pretty much perfect! Any photographer will tell you that we love nothing more than natural light, and at Ashfield House there is natural light in abundance. It’s a fabulous venue all round and certainly one I’d love to photograph at again.
Grab a brew and enjoy some of the highlights from a cracking occasion at Ashfield House.
My heartfelt thanks to Becks and Adam for having me along to document their wedding day. I had so much fun and it was a real pleasure to mingle with their families & friends who made me feel so welcome.
Many thanks as always to my assistant Lauren Jo Kelly for second shooting and fetching me cups of tea throughout the day.
