I’m Steve, a documentary wedding photographer and I love taking photos of people enjoying themselves. I mainly cover Manchester and the north-west of England, but I’ve photographed internationally and am available for wedding commissions all over the UK and the world.
I’ll photograph your day uniquely. I won’t interrupt you, ask you to pose unnaturally or suggest that you do anything just for the sake of the camera. Your wedding day is likely to be the only time you’ll have all of your favourite people together in the same place, so I want you to be relaxed and enjoy your day partying with your family and friends – just as it should be. No fussing or dated clichés – just fun, spontaneous & genuine images.
I genuinely love what I do: photographing your wedding day in a natural, unposed way creating images with life and energy. I adore photographing people interacting, capturing real and unselfconscious moments as they happen.

I take my couples aside for a short period for some photos of just the two of you, plus we can set aside a little time for some group photos if desired. But other than that, your day will be photographed organically, leaving you to get on with partying with your family & friends. After all, it isn’t everyday that you have all your favourite people in the same room.
Smiles and laughter
From the preparations to the first dance and beyond, I’ll photograph the story of your wedding day. I love people and I place great emphasis on capturing the emotions expressed by you and your guests. I don’t see it as my role to interfere or arrange your day, it’s your wedding, so I want you to spend it having a ball with your guests.
I work hard to photograph your day as I see it; walking around, scanning the venue looking for smiles, laughter, tears and tender moments. All of my couples are completely unique and I therefore believe your day should be photographed as it happens with no silly poses or tired old clichés.
My philosophy is incredibly simple
I’ll capture the essence of your wedding day. I’m all about the fun and the emotion on show. You just enjoy yourself and trust me to tell your story through my photographs.
Wedding Photographer Manchester
For most people wedding photography is a once in a lifetime expense and I take the honour of being asked to photograph someone’s wedding very seriously; from your initial enquiry right through to the delivery of your photos I’ll be on hand to ensure everything is perfect.
Images with life & energy
I’m happy to meet with my couples as many times as is necessary in the run up to your wedding day, just to ensure everything is perfect. If you wish, I’ll visit your wedding venue with you around a couple of weeks before the big day, or we can set up a Skype meeting if that is more convenient for you. You’ll find that I ask you lots of questions, this is not me being nosey – I love people and I like to be prepared. Preparation is crucial to the way I work. I like to get to know your personalities a little before the wedding.
The moments you don’t see
My prices are completely transparent, I will not try to sell you any extras after your big day. You’re paying me to photograph your wedding day so it’s only fair that you get access to all of your photos without being expected to pay anything above the price I gave when you booked me. If you later decide that you want an album or any prints/canvases, I can help with that, but I assure you I’ll leave this down to you; the option is there but I won’t mention it unless you ask me. I prefer to keep things simple – I charge between £1,400 and £1,800 depending on how much coverage you require.
I take commissions on a first come first served basis and in order to secure your date I require a completed wedding booking form and a booking fee of £300. With these, I’m yours for the day! For clarification, the remaining balance is payable 28 days prior to the big day. Of course, there is absolutely no obligation to book. I encourage people to do their research and make sure they are 100% happy before booking, so feel free to contact me and we’ll meet for a chat about your wedding day. No pressure at all.
From the preparations to the first dance and beyond, I’ll tell the story of your wedding day with images full of life and energy.
